Nüwa Textiles latest fabric innovation is a striking stonewashed look for nylon. The effect is one
of color depth and richness not achieved previously in nylon. The newly developed dye process appears to have
three or four distinct colors at play.
The fabric, named NüWash®, is a proprietary, hybrid fiber design that offers this unique finish on
performance ballistics nylon. The stonewashed effect (denim, heather, straw mat or tatami also speak to the
style of the finish) is achieved by a careful intermixing of fiber that reacts differently to the dyestuffs.
NüWash is suitable for luggage, backpacks or other heavy duty applications – or simply as a unique new
look where performance is demanded.
Originally developed in heavier fabrics, NüWash is now available in 400D, 840D and 1680D ballistic weaves.
